As an open source codebase, Symbiota is being developed concurrently by several organizations, including:
Symbiota (BioKIC): Symbiota Support Hub’s (SSH) central code repository actively maintained and developed by the Biodiversity Integration Center (BioKIC) development team located at Arizona State University.
Symbiota (legacy): Original codebase for the Symbiota project. This code still forms the basis of a handful of portals that are managed elsewhere, but is no longer actively maintained by the community.
