The Symbiota Support Hub is excited to announce the release of the newest version of Symbiota: Symbiota 3.3! SSH-managed* Symbiota portals that you know and love will be updated to this newest code version over the coming weeks.
This code version largely consists of backend adjustments, so you’re unlikely to notice many changes. Key items you should know about are:
- If you currently add image links to your records using the “Image URL Upload Tool”, this functionality has moved to the “Extended Data Upload” tool! You can find new instructions for finding and using this improved tool in Symbiota Docs.
- Collection administrators can now batch upload “Additional Identifiers” (previously known as “Other Catalog Numbers”). This tool is also found under the “Extended Data Upload” tools. Select “Identifiers” from the Import Type dropdown menu.
We invite all users to submit feedback and report bugs via our GitHub repository or via email at help@symbiota.org.
* A list of SSH-managed Symbiota portals can be found on this page. Note the “SSH-Hosted” column in the embedded table.
