Versioned Symbiota Docs

As part of our mission, the Symbiota Support Hub is hard at work trying to make it easier for people like you to get Help & Resources for using Symbiota portals.

To this end, we have transitioned the Symbiota Docs help website to a new system, now found at docs.symbiota.org. The main advantage of this system is that our docs can now be versioned (see the “Versions” option on the header bar). This means that you can access documentation appropriate to the version of Symbiota that you are working in, since some features are not available in older versions of the code. The previously available version of Symbiota Docs will be discontinued as all content has been migrated to the new system.

We hope these new Docs are easier to navigate and will be more comprehensive as Symbiota continues to evolve. Please feel free to request new pages or report issues with the documentation in our GitHub repository.

How do I find out what version of the code my portal is using?

Visit your portal’s Sitemap (example) and scroll to the bottom of the page. There you will see a version widget that will tell you what version will be most relevant to you.

Widgets at the bottom of your portal’s Sitemap indicate what version of the Symbiota code your portal is using.
