Have you seen the USDA Biocollections Portal? As of 2024, this is one of the newest Symbiota portals maintained by the Symbiota Support Hub in close partnership with the US Department of Agriculture.
The USDA ARS Biocollections portal serves the needs of USDA collections for digitally curating and publicly serving specimen data. It can act as a collection’s primary database of record and has powerful, built-in tools for digitization, data cleaning, and standardization. The web-based interface enables easy access to searching, mapping, and downloading data, but editing is restricted to authenticated users that have been given collection-level access.
The USDA ARS Biocollections Portal currently houses specimen data for the U.S. National Arboretum, U.S. National Seed Collection, U.S. National Fungus Collection, and U.S. ARS Entomopathogenic Fungal Cultures Collection. New collections are welcome and encouraged. Contact help@symbiota.org for more information.
